What is the Riga CA involved in?

The Riga district Climate Assembly, led by Green Liberty NGO, represents Latvia’s first climate assembly. Partnering with Riga City Council and the Riga Energy Agency, it focuses on vital adaptation aspects, addressing heatwaves, rainwater infrastructure, and health impacts. Aiming for local public engagement, the assembly seeks climate solutions, enhances policy design, and fosters local ownership. The Vilnius Aukštamiestis Living LAB collaborates as a supportive entity, contributing to the toolbox testing and calibration.

When is the RIGA CA taking place?

From September 21 to November 23, the first citizens’ climate assembly will take place in Riga, gathering a total of 35 citizens and experts in the field to learn together, work in groups and develop ideas and proposals for Riga’s greening plan.
