On May 3, 2023, the first workshop of the CLIMAS Horizon Europe project, titled “Reaching a Common Understanding of Climate Assemblies”, took place online. The workshop’s primary objective was to introduce the CLIMAS project and foster brainstorming regarding the Climate Assemblies (or similar citizen deliberative activities) barriers, bottlenecks and facilitators. This workshop, organised by cambiaMO with the support of CLIMAS partners, marked the beginning of three CLIMAS workshops. They are scheduled for May, June, and September 2023, respectively.
This exciting exploratory phase of the project continued with a second workshop organised on June 27, 2023. It delved into the previously identified factors and explored their role in guiding the Climate Assemblies process.
Now, we are excited to announce the upcoming third workshop. Join us on September 26, 2023, from 11:30 to 12:30, to reach a consensus about the most relevant factors driving the process of Climate Assemblies.
The invaluable insights generated from these CLIMAS workshops will significantly contribute to developing the CLIMAS climate change citizen engagements Toolbox. By identifying bottlenecks, barriers, and facilitators for Climate Assemblies, we will incorporate these crucial considerations into the prototyping and testing phases of the Toolbox.
